Trump to address buoyant Republicans in first speech since shooting

Trump will take the stage on the last day of the RNC to share his vision if elected

Donald Trump will speak at the popular Republican convention in Milwaukee on Thursday, where he is expected to  accept the presidential nomination and hold a four-day event that will show the full power of the party.
The 78-year-old former president is giving his first speech, boasting the enthusiasm that has grown since Joe Biden's disastrous debate  last month and the recent court decision.
was also his first speech since surviving an attack on Saturday's march that left him bleeding after being shot by a gunman at an open-air theater.

The Wisconsin convention is a family affair for the Trumps,  Lara Trump can speak among large relatives  or appear in the  VIP box of the place. The message is consistent, the media's apparent  effort to portray Trump is soft and the narrative portrays him as a family man and a team.
This has not gone unnoticed by critics, with some leading Democrats taking issue with this message. "Over the last few days, they've been trying to present themselves as a group of unity," Vice President Kamala Harris said at a press conference Thursday. America's Union for Freedom, Opportunity and Dignity," he said.
After taking the stage  Thursday night, the former president will share his vision of bringing "a new golden age to America," according to the conference. It concludes a week of speeches by Republican politicians, including  former Trump campaigners, representatives and governors.
Trump told the Washington Examiner  on Sunday that he decided to rewrite his speech after the assassination, changing it from an attack on President Joe Biden's policies to a message of unity. "This will be a full discussion now," he said.
"This is an opportunity to unite the whole country and even the whole world. This issue will be very different, very different than  two days ago, "he added.
One participant in the protest was killed in Saturday's massacre, and two other people were seriously injured. Trump was killed in the ear.
He  received a lot of praise from Republican attendees this week, including some who tearfully greeted  him at the convention  and others who wore fake ears to show their solidarity after the shooting
News of Trump's unity will depart from the strong language he often uses in the campaign when he insulted "communists, Marxists, fascists and religious radicals."
Even if this information is changed, it is likely that he will criticize President Biden on his record, as his colleague Ohio Senator JD Vance did on Wednesday night.
Mr. Vance attacked "labor politicians" such as Mr. Biden in his speech.
Several other high-profile names are expected to appear on Thursday, including Eric Trump, the son of the former president, former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson and Trump's former secretary of state, Mike Pompeo.
Trump will bring his friend Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Wrestler Hulk Hogan will also speak before Trump accepts his third consecutive Republican nomination.
Trump's wife Melania and daughter Ivanka will hold their first congressional meeting.
The evening session of the conference is expected to start at around 17:45 CST (23:45 BST), and Trump's speech will last until  22:30 CST.
President Biden, on the other hand, had to cancel his campaign  in Las Vegas, Nevada, after being diagnosed with Covid-19 on Wednesday. He is experiencing mild symptoms, the White House said.
Mr. Biden is under increasing pressure to resign after reports emerged on Wednesday that  Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Majority Leader Hakeem Jeffries told him privately  to drop his candidacy.
